This painting was a fun adventure. Glen Ellis Falls is a beautiful, narrow, 64 foot waterfall in the White Mountains, but I painted a 180 degree view of the top of the falls. I hiked to the bottom of the cascade, only there was only room for 1 person at a time to enjoy the view - no room to set up and paint, so I went back up to the top. The Ellis River is coming from the left, flows across the base of a rocky cliff, then bends around to the left and drops. Can't you just hear the roar of the falls?
