I met another plein air painter who was painting on thin sheets of copper. She gave me an 8x6 piece to try. It took several years before I did, and this is the painting. I will likely not use copper again - it was interesting, but I prefer the texture of canvas or linen. This red trillium is also known as a Wake Robin or a Stinking Benjamin!
