"Spring Hiking: Avalanche/Indian Passes"

A 22 mile classic Adirondack Hike: Upper Works to The Loj via Avalanche Pass, then returning via Indian Pass. When done in late May, the wildflowers are abundant. In the center are the wonderful giant rocks in Indian Pass that were immortalized by Charles Ingham, the artist who accompanied the first recorded ascent of Mt. Marcy, in 1837.
